How does I Fed The Tiger work?
Different areas of Fort Hays State University have a fundraising page for their particular project, each with a specific funding goal and project completion timeline. Supporters can contribute to the project financially and are encouraged to share the project with their own community and social network.
How do I contribute to a project on the I Fed The Tiger crowdfunding site?
Find the project page that you would like to contribute to and click "View Project." You may read more about the project and any updates to the fundraising efforts. Click "Give Now" to make a contribution of any amount. You can also contribute by telling your friends and family about a project that you are interested in, or by spreading the word across your social networks.
What are the various payment methods?
You may make an online donation via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). You may also mail a check to FHSU Foundation at PO Box 1060 Hays, KS 67601 with the project you wish to support written in the memo line.
Who can contribute to I Fed The Tiger?
Anyone! Contributions to projects can be made by any individual or organization inside or outside of our community.
Is my contribution tax-deductable?
Yes, your gift to an I Fed The Tiger project supports the Fort Hays State University Foundation and is tax-deductible by law. You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for the entire amount of your donation.
Does I Fed The Tiger or Fort Hays State University save my credit card information?
No, this website does not store any payment or credit card information.
Will my name be publically displayed? Can I make my donation anoymous?
When making your donation, you will be able to indicate how your name will appear on the project page as a supporter. You can choose to remain anonymous.
Can I share that I contributed to a project through my social media accounts?
Yes! Please do! Following your donation, there will be an option available to share that you contributed to I Fed The Tiger. Share your donation with your networks and help spread the word.
How do I know if and when the project reaches its funding goal?
Visit the website to keep up-to-date with FHSU’s various fundraising needs and the progress of each.
Are contributions returned if a project does not meet its stated funding goal?
No, we believe that projects should be able to keep the funds that are raised even if the total funding goal may not have been reached. Every gift matters.
